PreparationData Table (plus an optional Extra Data table)→ Data Table

Compose multi-condition row filters through a visual logic builder — no formulas, no syntax errors.

Beschreibung

Lets you define row-filtering logic through a structured, point-and-click interface with full type preservation. Conditions are grouped, and groups combine with AND logic at the top level; within a group, conditions can use either AND or OR. An optional second Extra Data input lets a condition match against values found in a column of another table, not just literal values you type in.

Am besten geeignet für

  • Removing known-bad rows such as nulls, test entries, or outliers from raw data
  • Applying business rules (e.g. Revenue > 1,000 AND Status = Active) as a reusable step
  • Isolating annotated sections by color — if a PDF Converter output contains rows from multiple highlighted areas, filter down to just one
  • Matching rows against a reference list connected to the Extra Data input, instead of typing values by hand

Verwendung

1Connect a data table
Connect any upstream node's output to Filter's main input. The column list populates automatically.
2Add a group and its conditions
Click Add Group, then Add Condition. Pick a column — available operators adjust to its type — and fill in a value.
3Set the group's AND/OR connector
A group defaults to AND (every condition must match). Switch to OR for rows matching any condition inside it.
4Add more groups for compound logic
Additional groups always combine with AND, letting you express logic like (Country = France OR Germany) AND (Revenue > 10,000).

Tipps & Hinweise

Categorical value picker
For categorical columns, the value field lists every unique value from the connected data — no typing needed.
Unfilled condition rows match everything
A condition row with no value entered matches every row. Fill it in or delete it before relying on the filter's output.
