Remove duplicate rows based on a set of key columns you choose, keeping the first, last, or none of each group.
Beschrijving
A targeted deduplication step. You pick exactly which columns define what counts as a duplicate — useful when the full row isn't identical but a meaningful identifier, such as an invoice number, repeats. For each group of rows sharing the same key, keep the first occurrence, the last, or drop the entire group (including the first) with 'Remove all'.
Best geschikt voor
Removing duplicate invoice or transaction rows from a repeated export
Deduplicating customer records where the same person appears more than once
Discarding every row of a group entirely with 'Remove all', to isolate exceptions that need manual review
Hoe te gebruiken
1Connect your table
Pass your table into Unique — the column list populates automatically.
2Select key columns
Choose which columns define uniqueness — a single Invoice Number column, or a composite key like First Name + Last Name + Email.
3Choose First, Last, or Remove all
First keeps the earliest row in each duplicate group; Last keeps the most recent; Remove all drops every row in a duplicate group.
Tips & Opmerkingen
Composite keys avoid over-collapsing
Selecting several columns as the key means a row only counts as a duplicate when all of them match — this avoids collapsing rows that share one value but differ in others.
'Remove all' drops the originals too
Unlike First/Last, 'Remove all' removes every row in a duplicate group, including the one you might expect to survive. Use it deliberately.
