Export

Node In/Out
In/OutData Table→ File (.xlsx or .csv) — no table output

Write one or more tables out to a real Excel or CSV file on disk — the end of the line for a workflow.

Description

The catalog's one sink node. Instead of handing a table on to another node, Export writes a real file directly to your filesystem when it runs. Connect any table to its input, choose a destination and format, and running the node produces the file immediately — there's no output port to chain further.

Best For

  • Delivering a cleaned, transformed table as a shareable .xlsx or .csv file
  • Writing out the final step of a recurring extraction-and-cleanup workflow
  • Producing a file for another tool or teammate to pick up outside Altera Studio

How to Use

1Connect your finished table
Pass the table you want to save into Export's input.
2Choose a destination
Pick an output file or folder using the native save dialog.
3Choose a format and run
Export to Excel (.xlsx) or CSV. Running the node writes the file to disk right away.

Tips & Notes

Every run overwrites the file
Running Export again writes over the previous file at that path. Choose a new destination first if you need to keep both versions.
No further chaining
Because Export has no output, it should be one of the last nodes in a branch — put any remaining cleanup before it, not after.
