As CEO, he defines the product vision, steers the technical roadmap, and makes sure every feature is grounded in actual data professional needs — delivering fast, scalable, and purposeful tools.

Where the idea came from
We both came from consulting backgrounds — working with firms including Deloitte and PwC. One thing became clear fast: even at that level, nobody had built a proper all-in-one solution for extracting data from PDFs. Payslips, invoices, reports — everything was handled manually or with fragile one-off scripts. That gap was the starting point.
The first node
We started with a single PDF converter node. It worked — and immediately we saw what was missing next. Getting a table out of a PDF was only step one; cleaning it, reshaping it, and getting it ready to actually use took just as long. So we kept building. Each new node was a direct response to a friction point in real workflows.
Going standalone
The early versions were built to run inside another company's software. That got us moving fast, but it also meant living within someone else's constraints. So we rebuilt Altera as its own desktop app — full control over speed, design, and the experience end to end, with nothing else to install first.
Where we're headed
The suite is still growing. More nodes are in development, and existing ones are actively maintained. This isn't a finished product — it's an evolving toolkit built to keep pace with how data work actually happens.
